Controller - (Onsite in Frederick, MD - salary: $100k - $120k) Position Overview The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise accounting and finance staff
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting regulations
Create and analyze financial reports for management and stakeholders
Perform financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making
Oversee the implementation of ERP and SAP systems
Establish and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and errors
Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals
Manage the company's budget and cash flow
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
CPA certification
At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and other accounting regulations
SAP experience
Experience with ERP implementation and financial reports
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage and motivate a team
