Position Overview The Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of commercial projects, with a focus on healthcare, commercial, and religious buildings. The ideal candidate will have strong construction management skills and experience in these specific sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the construction process of commercial projects from start to finish
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met
Manage and enforce safety protocols on job sites
Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any issues that may arise
Ensure quality control and compliance with building codes and regulations
Manage and track project budgets and expenses
Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation and records
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction.
Nice to have - healthcare, commercial, and religious building project experience
Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven leadership and project management abilities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office
OSHA certification is a plus
