This position will require the engineer to work within the Failure Analysis & Met Lab groups and contribute to the immediate AMT Decatur team as well as internal & external process partners. This position will interact with several team members including the Failure Analysis team, the NDE management team, the AMT Laboratory team, the Chemical team, the Caterpillar Decatur quality team, external suppliers & customers. Steady mix of shop, lab & office/desk work included for most of the documentation & communication.
We are looking for Level-2 UT
Failure analysis skills will be looking at failed parts off mining trucks and some other heavy equipment. Try to understand root cause as to why the part failed. Mostly steel and cast iron.
