Job Description:

Lakeshore Talent has partnered with a company in the Denver area in their search for a SCADA Engineer. The SCADA Engineer will design, implement, and manage the client's SCADA systems, ensuring efficient monitoring and control of industrial processes such as water treatment and electricity distribution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system design, troubleshooting, and data analysis, as well as experience with various SCADA software platforms and associated tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Design: Develop and plan SCADA systems tailored to specific industrial processes, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
  • Installation: Set up and configure hardware and software components for SCADA systems, ensuring a seamless integration into existing infrastructure.
  • Configuration: Configure system parameters and ensure effective communication between devices and sensors.
  • Monitoring: Oversee real-time data collection from various sensors and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues within the SCADA system promptly to minimize downtime and maintain system integrity.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze collected data to identify trends, optimize processes, and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and security checks to keep SCADA systems up-to-date and functioning optimally.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system designs, processes, and procedures to ensure clarity and continuity.
  • Training: Provide training and support to staff on effective usage and troubleshooting of SCADA systems.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other engineers and technicians to ensure integration, performance, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience using SCADA software.
  • Proficiency with SCADA software platforms (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, Siemens WinCC).
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, C++) and PLC programming (e.g., Ladder Logic).
  • Experience with HMI design software and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Understanding of network monitoring and management tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and virtualization software (e.g., VMware).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
