As a Junior Estimator, you will support the preconstruction and estimating team in preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. You will assist with gathering and analyzing data to ensure project budgets are realistic and competitive. This is an entry-level role, providing an opportunity to grow and develop within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Review project plans, specifications, and scope to ensure accuracy in estimates.
Collect and analyze data from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for pricing.
Maintain and update a database of historical project costs and pricing.
Help prepare bid packages and proposals for potential projects.
Communicate with project teams to understand scope changes and project details.
Assist in the identification of potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.
Support the senior estimating team with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
0-2 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and math skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with estimating software is a plus (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, etc.).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Eagerness to learn and grow within the construction industry.
