We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with deep expertise in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in migrating data from various sources, along with proven experience in data governance, data quality, and data management practices. You will play a key role in shaping and executing our data strategy, ensuring data integrity, and supporting our organization's data-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable data architectures on GCP that meet business and technical requirements.
Lead data migration efforts from on-premise and legacy systems to GCP, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with data policies, security, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and monitor data quality measures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the organization.
Drive best practices for data management, ensuring optimal data storage, retrieval, and processing.
Work closely with stakeholders to define and document data models, ensuring alignment with business processes.
Assist in selecting and implementing ETL/ELT tools and processes for efficient data movement.
Develop metadata management strategies and ensure proper documentation of data lineage.
Support data analytics teams in optimizing data workflows and enhancing business intelligence capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on GCP or other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Strong experience in migrating data from various sources including on-premise databases, cloud environments, and third-party applications.
Proficiency in GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
Solid understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and related tools.
Experience in data modeling, database design (relational and NoSQL), and metadata management.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools (e.g., Apache Beam, Dataform, dbt).
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and experience in ensuring compliance.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Certification in GCP or equivalent cloud platforms is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with AI/ML data pipelines and integration of advanced analytics solutions.
Familiarity with data fabric and data mesh architectures.
Experience with data cataloging and data lineage tools like Collibra, Informatica, or similar platforms.
