Job Duties:
Supervise planning and organization of loads within region to dispatch trucks to meet customer requests and production team activitiesCommunicates with contractors to determine deliveryNotifies drivers and yard team of load sequenceSupervise the preparation of delivery ticketsSupervise the preparation of delivery tickets for drivers and response to inquiries from driversUtilize multi-line phones, two-way radios, and computer software for data entry and route coordinationOversee performed administrative dutiesRemain compliant with DOT regulations and company rules at all timesSupervise all other dispatch activities

Work Environment:
Indoor office environment
Work in a noisy environment

Physical Requirements:
Frequent SittingCarry/ Lifting 10-40 lbs. rarelySitting/ walking/ climbing rarely

Experience & Qualifications:
4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.Adequate combination of education/service years/experience will be considered for the right candidateFamiliar with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the trucking industryRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsAssertive, self-motivated and positive attitude.Attention to detail while performing a variety of tasks is a must.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedExcellent communication, organizational and time management skills.Customer service oriented.Intermediate level in MS Office: outlook, excel and word.
