Job Description:

The City of Frankfort is searching for a Community Engagement Coordinator to handle a myriad of assignments related to community events. The Community Engagement Coordinator will manage special events coordination/planning in tandem with other City of Frankfort agencies like Tourism and Downtown Frankfort Inc. In addition to facilitating the planning and execution of existing community events, this position will seek to improve or add to our communitys portfolio of events.
Oversee MOU events
Serve on community event committees
Complete special event data tracking
Build annual event calendar
Oversee ordinances pertaining to special events
Coordinate with city staff necessary to special events

Work with existing Community Development and Grant staff to find, write and administer community development, Kentucky Infrastructure Loan and grant programs.
Implement grant projects and programs
Aid in reimbursement requests
Submit quarterly and annual reports
Oversee the Nonprofit Subsidy Program

Special Events Permit Process - Assist people through the Special Events Permit process including working with the Health Department, Emergency Management and the ABC.
Maintain and revise special event permit as needed
Serve as primary contact for filing event permits
Oversee event permitting and approvals
Coordinate with appropriate departments
Oversee Frankforts EDC (MIX District)
