Safe Harbor Peninsula Yacht Club is a dynamic and innovative Private Club seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences through creative menus and exceptional service. We're looking for a skilled and charismatic Chef to lead our kitchen team, develop menus, and ensure high-quality dish presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. This role may also be referred to as Cook

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and trainingDevelop and execute innovative menus, specials, and dessertsSource high-quality, locally sourced ingredientsMaintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and safety standardsCollaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless serviceMonitor inventory, manage costs, and optimize kitchen efficiencyEnsure compliance with food safety and health regulationsParticipate in culinary events and promotions
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codesAvailable to work overtime when requiredOther duties as assigned by Manager
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area. Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
3+ years of culinary experience, preferably as a Head Chef or Sous ChefCulinary degree or equivalent experience or Certification by the American Culinary Federation (ACF)Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skillsProficiency in kitchen management software
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocolsCreativity, adaptability, and attention to detail, Familiarity with menu engineering and cost control, familiarity with farm to table cuisine
Social media savvy for culinary promotionAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, reachAbility to lift 50 pounds
