We are seeking a Sr Director or VP of Pricing Center of Excellence! In this role you will lead and inspire a new pricing and monetization team focused on optimizing revenue generation and driving subscription growth initiatives by improving pricing and profitability. You will oversee these functions across our global product and services portfolio.

This role is critical in developing and implementing a new center of excellence for pricing strategies and disciplines, experimenting with and deploying different monetization models, and growth strategies across U.S. & international markets. You will oversee 4-5 individuals and report directly to the VP, Commercial Models. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Product, Corporate Strategy, Services, and Finance to ensure alignment with overall commercial objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop dynamic pricing strategies considering various geo-/segment-specific considerations to optimize revenue, channel satisfaction and balance profitability.

  • Evaluate different monetization models (e.g. usage and outcome based termed subscription plans and more flexible enterprise agreements).

  • Leverage advanced data analytics to track pricing performance to inform pricing decisions and drive revenue growth.

  • Work closely with sales and product marketing teams to develop product packages, pricing levels, promotions, and discounts by market & segment to drive acquisition, retention, and upsell.

  • Review and approve pricing frameworks and tools to streamline pricing decision-making processes and ensure consistency across markets and product lines.

  • Oversee pricing experiments in-field to evaluate pricing hypotheses, different model mechanics & pricing levels for different industry segments.

  • Work closely with Finance teams to ensure pricing and revenue strategies align with financial goals and targets.

  • Monitor competitors' pricing strategies to identify trends.

  • Lead by example, fostering F5’s culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
     

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR DIRECTOR, PRICING CENTER OF EXCELLENCE CANDIDATES HAVE:


  •  8-10+ years of experience in developing and implementing pricing strategies across multiple product lines or services, with a significant portion of time spent in people management roles.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Advanced degree in Data Science or similar qualification preferred.

  • Experience managing pricing optimization within a complex/dynamic environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret pricing data, market trends, and customer behavior to make data-driven pricing decisions.

  • Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and pricing benchmarking to inform pricing strategies and stay competitive in the marketplace.

  • Deep understanding of multiple monetization models such as subscription-based, transactional, freemium, or hybrid models, with the ability to optimize revenue streams accordingly.

  • Advanced understanding of financial concepts such as revenue forecasting, pricing elasticity, profitability analysis, and ROI metrics.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and develop high-performing teams through transformational stages, preferably in a B2B technology sales environment.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and proactive approach to drive results effectively.

  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) for building strong internal and external relationships across functions.

  • Role model holding yourself and your team accountable to deliver on your commitments.

  • Proven ability to inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals in a positive work environment.

  • Willingness to travel for internal meetings, conferences, and team activities.

The annual base pay for this position is: $238,488.00 - $357,732.00
