Hours: 7am-5pm ; 4-10s Monday- Thursday

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• 
  


• Responsible for performing MRI cross sectional imaging and other related procedures as directed by a licensed physician. Operates and monitors MRI equipment, program the machine to the proper voltage, current and desired exposure tie as dictated by physician.


• Explains testing procedures to patient. Positions and instruct the patient about the preparation for the MRI test. Assigns and/or delegates duties to the appropriate qualified and/or licensed technologist.


• Monitors the patient?s condition before and after scan to ensure patient safety and comfort. Administers contrast media accurately under direction of Radiologist both manually and with pressure injector.


• Prioritizes workload based on departmental needs and follow through in a timely manner. Attends and participates in professional meetings. Maintains credentialing and/or licensures.


• Responsible in enforcing magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operator and visitors. Monitors and maintains the safety concerning the magnetic field at all times. Maintain patient log, equipment service manual, delivery schedule and all related statistics.


• Delivers quality patient care and services in accordance with regulated standards. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent
  
  


• BLS Certification


• AART MR Certification

Experience preferred


- Bachelor of Science Degree


- One (1) year experience as MRI Tech in clinic or hospital environment
