Join the SAP Logistics Associate Systems team! As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for working with functional analysts, developers, QA engineers, and multiple Logistics business areas. This role includes responsibilities of supporting SAP end users and implementing new functionality.

Responsibilities:


  • Contribute and at times lead architecture and design discussions with cross-functional team members with an emphasis in Logistics to implement SAP solutions

  • Participate with gathering business requirements and translating them into system design and reporting solutions

  • Configuring SAP to implement solutions in the logistics area

  • Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams to create, maintain, and test application functionality to ensure implementations are successful

  • Partner with Security Analysts to ensure solutions are properly secured

  • Create detailed technical specifications for complex technical solutions including designs and program specifications

  • Assist with resolution of SAP incidents and problems

  • Validate the deployment of SAP system changes into a production environment

  • Support key integration points within SAP as well as interfaces between SAP and other systems


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience specifically with SAP solutions designing and configuring core Logistics applications: Materials Management, Purchasing, Warehousing, and Plant Management

  • 3+ year of experience with Logistics modules integration to Finance as well as external partner systems

  • 3+ years of experience with large scale data migration, converting Legacy systems to SAP, translating Legacy business processes into SAP standard solutions, and supplementing with custom solutions as appropriate

  • Experience with research and analysis of SAP data including Query design and development

  • 3+ years of experience understanding software applications and translating business requirements into functional configuration and custom development requirements

  • 3+ years of experience reading and understanding system requirements and designing solutions

  • Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once as well as leading multiple associates and cross area teams when needed

  • Experience with software testing and following testing standards


  • 9+ years of experience with SAP's (ERP) system, specifically the logistics modules

  • 9+ years of experience involving extensive research and analytical skills in SAP Logistics modules with an emphasis on Materials Management, Plant Maintenance, Procurement

  • Experience working with the logistics modules in an S/4 Hana landscape including Embedded Analytics

  • Experience with implementing Logistics Fiori applications for business users

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and the Agile methodology

  • Experience working with SAP BW to perform analysis and solve business challenges
