Job Description:


As the Senior Project Manager of Capital Projects, you will oversee large and multi-discipline projects and provide direction for the multi-business unit project teams to ensure projects align with customer specifications, objectives, timelines, and budgets. Travel outside of New Jersey for extended periods of time will be required.


Responsibilities:

• Review project scope and quotes from Estimating Managers or BU Managers to fully understand outcome goals and overall costs.


• Manage large and/or multi-discipline projects from start to finish, ensuring customer specifications, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.


• Liaise with customers regularly to provide progress updates, exchange ideas, answer questions, and meet customer expectations.


• Oversee projects and various project team members, providing direction, leadership, mentoring, and day-to-day management support in accordance with project priorities.


• Manage projects onsite to monitor development, safety, and quality control, ensuring all periodic milestones and cost elements are met.


• Maintain oversight of applicable project documentation, including samples, plans and specifications, contracts, change orders, and pricing changes, to ensure the project remains on course with the most up-to-date specifications.


• Analyze progress reports, cost to complete, and other weekly and/or month-end supporting documentation to ensure specifications and expenses fall within prescribed guidelines.


• Oversee project invoicing, including timesheets, resource and material allocations, expenses, and accounts receivable collections, to verify proper billing processes are followed and budgets remain in line.


• Facilitate client walk-throughs of project sites to maintain customer satisfaction.


• Administer high-quality, timely, and excellent customer service to promote the organization as an industry leader.

Education, Skills, and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a similar field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.


• 15+ years of related multi- and/or large project management experience in construction or environmental industries preferred.


• Strong ability in planning, analysis, project management, and processes; excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task, with excellent attention to detail and follow-through to ensure successful projects every time.


• Strong knowledge of estimating, construction, design, finance, and budgeting. Strong ability to manage outcomes on projects for success.


• Excellent MS Office and construction management software skills; Primavera experience preferred.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present well and collaborate with clients professionally. Able to mentor, lead, and train others.


• Strong customer focus; excellent ability to handle multiple projects with thoroughness and accuracy; advanced leadership and mentoring abilities; excellent negotiation and influencing skills; highly accountable with a strong quality and safety focus; able to work through conflict; flexible and adaptable to change; supportive of a team.
