To facilitate the safe and efficient handling of customer products with accuracy and in a safe manner
Load and unload liquid products (hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals) into or from tank cars, tank trucks, shore tanks, ISO containers, totes, ships, and barges. Gauge and sample tanks to ensure customer products meet specifications.
Perform all work in strict accordance with company, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Alignment and set-up of tanks, pumps and pipelines for the transfer of products to and from ships, barge, railcar, pipeline, and tank trucks
Required to follow established standards, special customer requirements, and inventory control procedures
Troubleshoot all related equipment
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Complete all operational documentation accurately, neatly and efficiently
Must follow established regulatory, company, industry and customer specific procedures and policies
Candidates must possess a positive work attitude, be environmentally responsible and safely conscious
Must be punctual, self-motivated and have strong communication and math skills
Position Requirements
Minimum requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience / specific knowledge:
Chemical Operators are required to work rotating shifts in an outdoor environment
Position requires climbing stairs, working at elevated heights, the use of hand tools and heavy lifting
Previous related industrial experience, a stable work history and mechanical skills are preferred
Satisfactory completion of a mandatory drug screen and background check upon job offer
Successful completion of validated testing, background check and drug screen upon offer.
Maintain regular and dependable attendance
Certifications, licenses, registrations:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver license
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC Certification.

Must be able to hear and smell for deficiencies or hazards.
Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test.
Working conditions:
Will be required to wear PPE including steel toed shoes/boots, goggles, Fire protective clothing, and respirators
Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions will be required to work outside
Ability to negotiate uneven surfaces
Subject to background check and mandatory drug screen/on-going random testing
Must be available to respond to call-out as assigned.
Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and required.
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from Shift Leads, keep required work schedule, focus on attention to details, and follow work rules.
