Antibody Drug Conjugate Formulation Summer Intern at AstraZeneca in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Job Description:

We are seeking undergraduate sophomore and junior students working towards a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related field for a 12-Week Student Intern role in Gaithersburg, MD for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.



Position Duties:

• Prepare buffers and establish studies relevant to ADC formulation screening and stability
  
  


• Conduct formulation screening and stability studies to inform ADC platform development
  
  


• Document experimental findings in reports and present findings to broader teams.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Undergraduate sophomore and junior students working towards a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related field. **Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
  
  


• Familiarity with basic lab skills such as pipetting, dilution calculations, buffer preparation
  
  


• Analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or organic chemistry experience/course load preferred but not necessary
  
  


• Interest in biophysical characterization of ADCs
  
  


• Required ability to work with and handle highly potent molecules (e.g. ADCs)
  
  


• Lab research experience preferred
  
  


• Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
  
  


• Applicants must have US Work Authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa (e.g., CPT, H1-B, F-1 (OPT), TN, or other non-immigrant status).
  
  


• Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD 5 days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.
  
  


• Minimum grade point average of 3.0
