Pay Rate: $33,060 $40,310/per year. Pay will be determined based on related work experience above required. To be considered in determining pay, all related work experience must be listed on the application.

Position Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to assist in developing, administering and maintaining the Testing Center Program, which includes administering, scoring and reporting information regarding standardized tests, in-house tests, and high school equivalency exams. Responsibilities also include day-to-day support and/or management of the HV Testing Center and managing standardized testing programs, including Certiport, CLEP, HESI, HiSET, Kryterion, DSST, Correspondence Testing etc.

Key Results Areas: Administer tests within the established guidelines. No security violations. 95% of tests administered without errors (correct exams, no misfiling's/lost tests, complaints, etc.). Student and faculty satisfaction survey must result in 95% or better satisfaction rate.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience required, or an Associate's Degree and three years of experience required. Certification training and testing must be completed prior to administering tests that require such certification (HiSET, CLEP, HESI, etc.).
Experience with the use of computer equipment and knowledge of office related skills.
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.

Complexity & Creativity: Must know the departments' responsibilities and scope of influence on all customers involved. Employee must read and follow Administrator Manuals/Quickstarts for all testing programs. Also, an understanding of all incoming non PSCC exams and the policies of those schools/companies. Constant review of procedures and guidelines is required in order to maintain a vibrant operation, keep up-to-date with technology and maintain testing protocols. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task. Must be able to remain calm and work efficiently during high volume times.
Magnitude of Impact: Normally impact is within 1 to 48 hours, depending on the delivery of the exam, paper or computer. Those impacted may include instructors, students, the college administration, testing companies, other colleges/businesses, etc. Director will be the first to address issues and it goes up the chain of command from there.
Responsibility for Accuracy: Any error while giving exams could affect student success. Typical errors include: failing to allow students to use necessary items, giving a student the wrong exam, misfiling an exam, etc. More serious type errors could result in a lawsuit, loss of testing program or financial penalty for lost materials. Errors are usually caught by the employee or instructor.
Nature of Contacts: College administration, faculty, staff and students; TBR TN-E program representatives; community members; high school representatives, other colleges in state and out; other testing program representatives (e.g., CLEP, DSST, CERTIPORT); etc. To provide or get information, to discuss and seek understanding, to persuade, to negotiate and resolve conflicts. To provide test results to other schools, obtain payments. To answer questions, resolve testing and computer problems, request test materials, clarify scheduling, and determine testing-related needs.
Judgement and Decisions: Employee makes day-to-day operational decisions. Policies and procedures must be adhered to for the department regarding all aspects of testing, management of test appointments, security of tests, and administration of exams. Some departmental policies are developed or recommended by testing personnel involved with the exams and discussed and approved as a department. Test Center Procedural Manuals (general and by site) are available to assist with establishing testing center protocol developed and/or approved by the Testing Director. The Procedural Manual is used to assist in the training of Testing Center personnel.
Constantly working with student and faculty to meet their testing needs while maintaining a fair and secure testing environment. This can be challenging when students are emotional about their testing and passing a course. Calmly and effectively prioritizing during high traffic hours is a must.
