The Ralph E. Martin Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Chemical Engineering department is home to 17 faculty members with diverse expertise spanning healthcare, energy, advanced materials, separations, nanotechnology, and sustainability. With $29M in endowments, including 13 endowed chairs and professorships, the department is poised to support excellence in research, teaching, and service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field

• Demonstrated potential for high-quality research, including securing research funding and generating high-quality publications Collaborative and interdisciplinary synergy with existing strengths on campus Excellent communication skills

The duties of this position include: (1) developing and sustaining an externally funded research program leading to national and international recognition; (2) teaching and mentoring undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows; (3) performing service activities commensurate with the position.
