Job Summary

The Inventory Control Assistant will be responsible for the inventory control of finished goods as well as raw materials. In addition, this position will be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy.

Job Responsibilities


  • Assist Dispatch with checking loads for accuracy and signing off on delivery receipts.

  • Assisting walk in customers and direct them to the right person.

  • Work with Inventory Control/warehouse attendant

    • Check deliveries for accuracy.

    • Move delivered goods to storage location.

    • Help with cycle counts and inventory counts.



  • Ensure all deliveries are properly received and posted in company system

  • Report daily material movement to accounting in order to accurately reflect used quantity within the production process

  • Ensure all items in the warehouse are appropriately received and stored (This would include working with the material handling coordinator to ensure contract specific items are separated, counted, and properly stored)

  • Identify and report to management slow-moving inventory and obsolete material

  • See to proper inventory to ensure customers' demands are met in the most efficient manner obtainable

  • Work with cross-functional teams in the plant to ensure continuity and streamlined processes related to material handling, inventory control, and valid documentation

Job Requirements


  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

  • Forklift experience preferred

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Inventory control experience

  • Proficiency with computer

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day
