Job Summary | The Institute for Biomedical Informatics is looking for a Bioinformatics Analyst Senior to join Dr. Ishanu Chattopadhyay’s research group. This position will develop and implement innovative bioinformatics methods and software tools that significantly contribute to diverse research projects. The ideal candidate will generate and evaluate novel research ideas, refine existing bioinformatics methodologies for tailored analyses, and publish findings in high-impact journals under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. Key responsibilities include formulating modeling strategies for grant proposals, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and writing code for predictive screening algorithms. The successful candidate will also supervise junior bioinformatics analysts and undergraduate assistants, ensuring high-quality work and fostering a productive research environment. In addition, the candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development by participating in educational programs and training, while actively contributing to the improvement of workflows and research processes.
