Position Summary:



We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manager of New Product Introduction (NPI) and the Custom Services Project Management to join our Protein and Cellular Biology BU team as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC). This position will work out of our Eugene, OR location. As the Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to manage the Eugene team and lead a matrixed global Project Management team. Your role will involve actively engaging with the leadership teams, providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, coaching and facilitating effective communication and coordination between different sites. Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the NPI Project Management team overseeing a team of scientists and engineers, and providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster a team that consistently exhibits strong work ethics and high-quality performance.

  • Lead the custom products and service PMO team, partnering with Commercial and Licensing and Commercial Supply teams to drive the business strategy and execution for our customers.

  • Review the PCA NPI portfolio roadmap and ensure it is aligned with BID manufacturing/operations strategy and site manufacturing capability and capacity.

  • Develop, propose, and drive implementation of improvement plans for capacity, processes, and technologies.

  • Attend tech transfer/Operations readiness meetings to ensure that speed and success of implementation is in line with site capabilities and capacity.

  • Engage with manufacturing partners to manage the full length of the product lifecycle, including design changes and discontinuations.

  • Track quality performance trends and keep Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) actions on track.

  • Understand manufacturing site capabilities and drive standard methodologies.

  • Make recommendations for infrastructure configurations to optimize financial investments.

  • Participate as a member of the site manufacturing leadership team.


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or other science-related field and/or equivalent experience in a biomanufacturing role. PMP certification is a plus.

  • 7 years of experience in Biotech Manufacturing or a related industry including experience with product development transfers into the manufacturing environment, with at least.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role with a proven track record of successfully leading and managing cross-functional teams in matrixed environment.

  • Experience partnering with the commercial organization.

  • Broad understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards, including FDA, GMP, and ISO.

  • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and external partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement process optimization strategies.
