Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our team.



Wage: $18 - 23/hr. DOE w/ potential for overtime



Shift: Typically works M-F 8-10 hrs./day with occasional Saturdays, as needed.



Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


Required Qualifications

  • Must pass pre-employment exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
  • Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrates the willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
  • Demonstrates the willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Class A or Class B license.
  • Previous experience operating equipment and/or construction related experience.


Work Requirements:
  • This position has been identified by the employer as safety sensitive and will be subject to an employer-required pre-employment drug screening that includes testing for nonpsychoactive cannabis metabolites.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently by utilizing equipment within its designed parameters. Equipment can include but is not limited to: front-end wheel loader, skid steer, forklift, etc.
  • Perform general clean-up, maintenance and housekeeping tasks at the production plant.
  • Shovel excess materials from around conveyors and other areas to prevent build up.
  • Operate loader to supply materials to the production plant.
  • Drive haul truck to transport and dump material at the site.
  • Load trucks with proper materials for delivery.
  • Perform general maintenance (i.e. oiling, greasing plant equipment) as directed and refer major problems to the supervisor.
  • Keep time and material records.
  • Routinely assist other members of the work force in different areas of production.
  • Assemble and oil steel/wood forms
  • Assist in pouring and finishing precast forms with assistance of mixer truck driver
  • Disassemble forms, oil, and reassemble forms
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.

  • The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 50-75 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
