This role works within the Financial Planning Department team to help financial advisors deliver financial security to clients through a comprehensive planning process that integrates risk and investment products. It is focused on helping financial advisors increase productivity and efficiency by providing integrated investment, planning and operations support.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
INSURANCE SUPPORT
Assist in the onboarding of new financial advisors to the Planning Department
Maintain compliant electronic client files by scanning and uploading fact finders, statements, and other client documents to file storage systems
Manage the insurance application process by collaborating with team members and representatives in: o Preparing and reviewing applications for completeness and accuracy o Sending electronic applications to clients o Satisfying outstanding requirements and scheduling medical exams o Monitoring the Daily Status Report (DSR) and taking action on cases needing attention
Process insurance service requests such as name & address changes, beneficiary changes, updates to Insurance Service Accounts, etc.
Prepare materials for annual review meetings
Review work requests submitted for completeness, and collaborate with representatives and staff if further information is required
Meet with assigned advisors bi-weekly to provide interpretation of advisor's Daily Status Report (DSR)
Prepare and manage client communications for electronic signature including policy delivery
Assist in managing CRM database
Any other tasks/responsibilities deemed appropriate by Director or Leadership Team
PLANNING SUPPORT
Collaborate with team and new advisors in preparing holistic financial plans for clients
Assist in preparing insurance illustrations and solutions based on plan output
Communicate planning recommendations and rationale to new advisors
Build working knowledge of financial planning principles
Any other tasks/responsibilities deemed appropriate by Director or Leadership Team
DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Attend ongoing training meetings and webinars with advisors and office leadership
Form close working relationships with a network of advisors and team members
Bi-weekly team development and monthly professional development meetings
Investment licensing exams & American College of Financial Services coursework
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills
The ability to work well with clients, advisors & team members from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Risk Management or related
PA Life Accident & Health license
