We are currently seeking an experienced Asphalt and Concrete Estimator to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As an Asphalt and Concrete Estimator, being part of our team means you will be playing a crucial role in our project planning and execution. You will be responsible for obtaining new clientel, accurately estimating project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment, while ensuring that our pavement preservation strategies are effectively integrated into our proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site surveys and analyze project specifications, drawings, and plans to prepare detailed cost estimates for asphalt and concrete projects.
Utilize knowledge of pavement preservation techniques to recommend effective strategies that enhance project longevity and sustainability.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Prepare and submit comprehensive bids and proposals in a timely manner.
Monitor industry trends and innovations in asphalt and concrete technologies to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports related to projects.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and procurement of materials.
Participate and conduct construction meetings with all team members involved as they relate to project.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 Year Estimating Experience in Asphalt And Concrete or 4 Years working within the Asphalt or Concrete sectors.
Strong Mathematical Skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Strong knowledge of pavement preservation methods and materials.
Proficiency in estimating software and Mac OS.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
