The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional process improvement teams throughout the organization, utilizing subject matter expertise and business transformation concepts and tools to include Project Management, Operational Excellence, Lean Management and Six Sigma.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Collaborate with organizational leadership to assess activities across the enterprise to determine the greatest opportunities for process change resulting in improved customer service, expense management and execution.
Support the development of lean processes; continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training, and employee involvement.
Lead, develop, and coach associates at all levels on lean manufacturing practices.
Lead and manage cross-functional improvement teams resulting in associate skill and knowledge development and performance improvements. Develop project plans to include goals, tactics, financial impact and timelines.
Contribute to the prioritization of potential business transformation projects. Manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Develop and implement management tools and performance dashboards.
Embed management routines to drive execution, focus and results in all improvement projects.
Collaborate with functional leaders on requirements for the selection and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and technology.
Collaborate with continuous improvement professional organizations to learn innovative Lean Management, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement techniques with the goal of professional development for you and your team.
Qualifications:
Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field
3+ years of experience in project management
3+ years of experience in business transformation and process improvement using Lean Management, Six Sigma and/or other proven problem solving/continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with change management and influencing organizational culture change.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority
Proficient in MS Excel to include statistical analysis, data collection, charts and pivot tables
Experience Preferred
5+ years of experience in a supply chain management role with a large consumer goods organization
5+ years of experience with change management and influencing organizational culture change
