The Director of M & A oversees all potential mergers and acquisition planning and outreach activity of existing operators for Spotless Brands throughout the US. The Director also oversees all activities of junior M & A personnel as well as ensuring car wash operators, brokerage networks, and other relationships consider Spotless Brands as the first priority for acquisition opportunities.
Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned)
Execute target identification, succession planning and target pipeline maintenance and quantitative analysis of target information and diligence gathering to determine favorability
Responsible for maintaining contact with large numbers of independent owners and competitive or strategic targets and for tracking pipeline activity of acquisitions
Meet with potential sellers onsite / in market to develop relationships
In market site visits of potential acquisitions
Oversee contract negotiation and execution, deal execution, and closing processes on all M & A opportunities
Regularly prepare and deliver updates to the VP of Development as well as various executive leaders, and under the guidance of the VP of Development, will work closely with Market Development and Corporate Development teams and collaborate with leadership to execute Spotless' market growth strategy effectively
Actively maintain the M & A pipeline distribution to the Spotless executive team
Connect with field sales leaders to gain feedback for succession planning reviews and field engagement of acquisition targets and planning
Prepare analysis of financial & sales documents from acquisition targets
Gather diligence for acquisition target viability
Develop summary market and diligence information to build acquisition targets into corporate forecast and acquisition process
Track accuracy of target pipeline and project flow and key milestones to ensure timely execution of transactions
Provide reporting and analysis to executive level stakeholders
Attends regional trade shows and conventions to include ICSC, etc

Requirements (Education, Certifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or related field.
At least 7 years' experience in mergers and acquisitions
Prefer candidate have existing broker relationships
Strong negotiating skills.
Strong knowledge of the M & A deal execution process and transactions
Highly proficient in financial modeling and forecasting
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Detailed understanding of LOI, PSA, and lease terms
Demonstrated organization and project management skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Self-starter with an ownership mentality and a strong sense of drive and urgency to meet goals in a fast-paced development environment
Excellent stage presence and comfort presenting to large groups of people
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems, resolve conflicts, and set direction
Physical Requirements:
Travel requirements will range from 25%-40%
