SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Vice President, Seniors Housing Property Accounting include managing and maintaining the property accounting for the Senior Housing Portfolio, ensuring proper financial reporting and compliance for stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Vice President, Seniors Housing Property Accounting include (but are not limited to) the following:


  • Develop, manage, and provide oversight of the property accounting teams with a focus on proper financial reporting, SOX compliance and property rollups to Welltower corporate accounting. Including managing a team of people across various locations

  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for weekly and monthly financial and treasury processes for various operators.

  • Establish and implement appropriate policies and procedures to ensure efficiency across teams and accurate reporting of financial results

  • Support other internal and external reporting/audit needs.

  • Standardize and develop proper cadence for financial and operational reporting both internally and externally.

TRAVEL

Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • Previous property accounting experience

  • Strong knowledge of accounting theory and GAAP

  • Real estate experience preferred

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience

  • Yardi or similar real estate accounting software experience required

  • CPA preferred
