Red Cedar is looking for a Service & Warranty Specialist to join our team. The New Home Warranty Specialist is responsible for managing and resolving warranty claims for new homeowners. This role involves coordinating repairs, communicating with homeowners and contractors, and ensuring that all warranty issues are addressed promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong understanding of home construction and the home construction process, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners regarding warranty issues
Provide timely and professional responses to inquiries and concerns
Research, process and manage warranty claims, ensuring all issues are documented and resolved within the warranty period
Schedule and coordinate repairs with trade partners, contractors, and homeowners
Work with the Construction Manager to ensure that all work is completed to the company's standards
Build and maintain relationships with homeowners to ensure complete satisfaction from homeowners until completion of work orders
Maintain accurate records of all warranty claims, communications, and repairs
Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible
Communicate effectively with homeowners, contractors, and internal teams to ensure a smooth resolution of warranty issues
Monitor the quality of repairs and ensure that all work meets company standards and homeowner expectations
Educate homeowners on the warranty process and their responsibilities
Provide guidance on home maintenance and care
Maintain positive communication channels to help the flow of information from department to department
Foster, encourage, and reward a fun, positive, successful values-based culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the home construction industry
Detail-oriented & highly organized
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and able to adhere to a schedule
New construction or builder experience preferred
Customer Focused, composed, patient, and approachable
Problem solver
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours; 8:30 am - 5 pm
Job Type:
Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week
