The Certified Public Accountant - SeniorFinancial Analyst is responsible for several functions related to the financial reporting and close process, including SEC-like Reporting and regulatory reporting. Responsible for preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related footnotes, and other reporting of financial information such as MD&A, earnings release, and Mortgage Bankers Financial Reporting Form (MBFRF). Also responsible for certain accounting close processes including the preparation of monthly unaudited financial statements, analyzing financial results for the period, and preparing deliverables for external auditors. Perform the final support tie-out for each period and collaborate with business partners within the Finance department and across the Company. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and have a strong work ethic with a public accounting background.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including cash flows, footnotes, MD&A, earnings releases and other reporting of financial information.
Responsible for preparation of monthly and quarterly MBFRF and other regulatory reporting.
Prepares financial disclosures for offering memorandums.
Develops and maintains relationships with business partners within Finance, across the company and with external auditors including managing the request and receipt of deliverables related to the quarterly and annual financial reporting.
Performs other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
Experience
Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience
SEC reporting experience preferred
Financial services experience preferred
Mortgage accounting experience a plus
Functional/Technical Skills
Detail oriented with excellent organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Positive attitude and dependable team player with strong leadership skills
Ability to work effectively and efficiently within very tight deadlines
Ability to earn the trust and confidence of business partners

Experience with Workiva a plus
Experience with Workday Adaptive or other reporting platforms a plus
Experience with SQL SSMS a plus
Must be comfortable working with a fast-paced growing company, and willing to take on special projects as they arise.
