We are looking for 4 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
Job Title: Scheduler
Location: Naples, FL
Duration: 6 months contract (May extend depending on the client needs)
Work schedule: 1st shift Monday - Friday (May be flexible on start time)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the timely movement and processing of parts across multiple programs to meet customer delivery schedules and update the production and inventory control system with accurate information.
Stage and organize work for various manufacturing areas to ensure schedules are met and resources are effectively utilized, while communicating with support groups to address and resolve work orders on hold.
Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in paperwork or system information, ensuring the accuracy of work in process (WIP) data, and manage the splitting of work orders by generating new travelers and coordinating activities with inspection teams.
Collaborate with other functional groups to develop and implement daily work schedules, short-range capacity plans, and build plans, while monitoring and addressing short-term capacity conflicts such as staffing reassignments, overtime, and machine utilization.
Coordinate with manufacturing and production planning teams to adjust workloads, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure efficient operations at gateway centers, while participating in team meetings to achieve common goals related to schedules, quality, and cost.
Manage the release of materials and components to fill shortages in work in process, assist in developing procedures to enhance departmental productivity, and oversee the packaging of parts to prevent damage during movement, using equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years of dispatching, shop scheduling or production planning experience in a computerized manufacturing system environment or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
Proficient in the application of MRP and APICS.
Knowledge of AMAPS preferred.
Personal computer skills required.
Thorough understanding of manufacturing routings, travelers and blueprints.
Ability to provide positive leadership/training in a team environment.
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
