The IG Trader Analyst is an integral part of the IG Trading desk and the Global Markets Trading team, responsible for assisting traders with the secondary trading of IG bonds and reporting to the head of Credit Trading. He/she/they will contribute to the team's strategic and financial goals through both trading and support activities. This role will require interaction with sales globally, syndicate personnel, ecommerce teams as well as research on a daily basis.
Assist traders in daily execution and reporting of IG trades
Produce P&L reports, maintain distribution statistics and track trends
Act as backup trader as needed, monitor risk positions, hedges, ecommerce functionality and P&L
Prepare offering spreadsheets for clients as directed by sales and trading
Liaise with Sales, Syndicate and DCM to share relevant data/trends on the desk
Work with research analyst to produce daily commentary/monthly outlook for distribution internally
Track improvements in ecommerce with the help of the ecommerce team. Assist in the enabling/onboarding of clients
Work with sales teams globally to facilitate dissemination of axes, information to help improve account interactions
Required Experience/ Qualifications
1-2 years in a business role
Undergraduate degree
Some exposure to the financial services industry
Experience with spreadsheets and/or trading systems (Bloomberg, ION, MUREX, TradeWeb, MarketAxess, etc.)
Employment eligibility to work with BBVA in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $90,000 to $100,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
