Scale House Attendant at an Energy-from-Waste facility.

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:30pm (may work through lunch, but all hours are paid), Saturdays if needed.

Pay Rate: Approximately $20/hr.

Type: Temp-to-hire for the right candidate.
Job Duties
- Monitor truck activity and record accurate weights.
- Communicate with departments about scale operations and tonnage info.
- Maintain and organize tickets, manifests, and supplies.
- Enter truck info into systems and ensure incoming loads comply with safety regulations.
- Perform weekly walkdowns and ensure drivers follow DEP regulations and wear proper PPE.
- Answer phone inquiries regarding operation hours.
- Ensure general upkeep of the scale house.
- Handle special projects assigned by the supervisor.
Position Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1-3 years in administrative, clerical, or accounting roles.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Highly organized, with basic records management and computer skills (Microsoft programs, Excel is a plus).
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Protective Equipment Required
- Steel toe shoes
- Safety glasses

- Long sleeve shirt and long pants
Training Required
- PPE usage
- Hazard recognition
Other Requirements
- No respirator fit testing, but medical clearance is needed.
- Education/employment verification, background check, and drug test are required.
