Job Description: The Buyer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality finished goods and services at competitive prices. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving efficiency in purchasing operations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
Manage supplier relationships, evaluating performance and ensuring adherence to contracts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the Accounting and Sales teams.
Oversee the purchase order process, from creation to delivery confirmation.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement requirements.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in purchasing.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in purchasing experience within wholesale or distribution, preferably in finished goods
Background purchasing within a Retail environment.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is a big plus, or a similar ERP software.
Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
