Position Summary
Our client, who is in the higher education space, is looking for an IT Training Lead to assist with their HCM implementation over the next year. In this role, you will ensure projects meet training objectives by enabling knowledge, adoption, and sustainability. You'll play a critical part in ensuring the successful adoption and utilization of the new HCM system and will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and understand how to apply adult learning principles and tailor their approach to various audiences including administrators and end-users. This role will be hybrid, requiring occasional travel to the university's campuses.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Organizational Change Management team to meet project goals and success criteria on time and within budget
Develop a training strategy and plan aligned with project timelines and objectives
Design and create training materials, including videos, user guides, job aids, and e-learning modules, to support different learning styles and preferences
Conduct training needs assessments and customize training content accordingly
Develop a train-the-trainer program including facilitation support
Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and demos for end-users, super users, and administrators
Partner with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content
Apply success metrics to training outcomes
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms. Make recommendations for continuous improvement
Partner with vendor implementation teams
Stay current with updates and enhancements to incorporate into training materials and programs
Ensure sustainability with ongoing support and guidance post-implementation to reinforce learning, enable new user training, and support material refresh for enhancements
Minimum Experience
Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma (or GED) paired with equivalent related professional experience (4+ years)
Experience with ADDIE principles and 70-20-10 learning model
Experience with instructional design, VILT/ILT development and delivery
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
Experience working on large-scale implementation projects and managing multiple stakeholders
Experience creating sustainable plans to support ongoing adoption.
Additional Plus:
Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably for HCM, HRIS and/or ERP systems
Experience training in higher education
Understanding of HCM functionality and configuration - hands-on experience preferred
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Experience with LMS management
Salary / Wage Range
$65,000-$92,000 / year
