Accountant - Part Time St. Joseph Catholic Community - Waconia, MN
We are seeking a qualified accounting professional. An ideal candidate will have experience in financial reporting, payroll, and managing accounts payable/receivable. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software, Paycor and Parish Soft is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities -Process invoices and check requests for payment on a weekly basis. -Manage vendor database. -Issue 1099s in accordance with IRS guidelines at the end of the calendar year. -Oversee the donor database and assure reconciliation between this database and the general ledger. -Record weekly manual deposits for miscellaneous receipts (non-contributions) for school and parish. -Process semi-monthly payroll file accurately and timely. -Ensure that all deposit filings, and federal/state quarterly and annual reporting requirements are met. -Prepare accurate and timely Financial Reports to parish/school leadership. -Prepare Annual Parish Financial Report (APFR) to Archdiocese. -Provide training and advice to parish and school staff as they transition to new roles.
