Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to assist and support the firm's Bond Department Legal Assistants with processing bond documents in preparation for submittal to the Texas Attorney General's office and distribution of bond closing transcripts.
Responsibilities:
Prepare electronic transcripts.
Manage multiple bond transcripts simultaneously.
Alert Legal Assistants of incomplete transcripts in a timely manner.
Organize and proof transcript files.
Follow up on pending items.
Upload documents on multiple file share sites.
Draft and compile exchange bonds and specimen bonds.
Input continuing disclosure information into Excel chart.
Prepare transmittal letters and distribute transcripts.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong proofreading skills a must.
Strong oral and written communication skills (emphasis on grammar, spelling, writing skills).
Must work well with limited supervision.
Ability to meet deadlines with a strict attention to detail.
Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
Requirements:
Associate's degree preferred.
7+ years' full-time professional experience preferred.
Experience editing documents
Exceptional experience in Adobe, Dropbox, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Professional demeanor.
Ability to learn quickly, prioritize daily work, manage multiple, simultaneous deadlines, and multitask.
Above-average organizational skills.
Must be resourceful and able to problem solve independently.
