Type: full-time

Job Description:

Location: Hayward, CA (On-site)

EverWatt is a fast-growing energy efficiency company, founded in 2014, specializing in LED lighting retrofits. We work with businesses to upgrade their lighting systems through PG&E's on-bill financing program, delivering financial savings and environmental benefits. As a small but expanding team, this is a unique opportunity to carve your own path and contribute to our company's trajectory. We value meritocracy and are at an exciting stage of growth.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Operations Manager to manage and streamline all aspects of our lighting retrofit projects. In this role, you'll coordinate between our customers (businesses upgrading to LEDs), utility partners (PG&E), contractors, and warehouse staff to ensure projects run efficiently and smoothly. Your primary focus will be on improving project management and reducing inefficiencies, particularly by minimizing the number of lighting shipments per project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact, managing timelines and facilitating communication between stakeholders (customers, contractors, utilities, and internal teams).
  • Shipment Optimization: Plan ahead to ensure the correct materials are ordered and delivered on time, reducing last-minute shipments and improving overall project efficiency.
  • Utility Program Management: Coordinate with PG&E's on-bill financing program to ensure projects align with their standards and requirements.
  • Contractor Liaison: Work with contractors to manage project timelines and changes and ensure the successful execution of lighting retrofits.
  • Warehouse Coordination: Collaborate with our warehouse to ensure timely and accurate materials delivery to job sites.
  • Communication & Problem Solving: To ensure seamless project execution, resolve issues efficiently, set clear expectations, and anticipate potential project obstacles.

Key metrics:
  • Improve efficiency by reducing the average number of lighting shipments per project through better planning and coordination
  • Maximize throughput of our contractors (basically keep them working at a steady pace)
  • Accurately set timing expectations with all parties and then meet those expectations
  • minimize the time distance between anything that happens in the physical world, and its corresponding required action in any software.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of project management experience, ideally in construction, energy efficiency, or related fields.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, contractors, utilities, and internal teams.
  • Some experience or knowledge of contracting is preferred.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary range: $87,000 - $113,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses, depending on qualifications.
  • 401K plan with significant growth potential, both personal and professional, in a fast-growing business.
  • A chance to take ownership of key operations, with the ability to influence and shape the future of our project management processes.
