A leading waste management company is searching for an Environmental Compliance Manager to join their team. This role will be based in the Fort Lauderdale Florida area and will be responsible for the management and improvement of the sites Environmental programs.
The incumbent will additionally be responsible for acting as subject matter expert on environmental regulations and standards as well as directing and monitoring all plant environmental compliance.
The Role:
Develop, prepare, implement, maintain, and improve environmental and training programs to ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and company objectives.
Prepare and submit environmental modifications, renewals and permit applications.
Lead Title V air permitting and lead implementation of monitoring programs for solid waste and water discharge.
Develop written reports for the above activities and track recommendations through to completion.
Ability to act as Emergency Coordinator.
Lead accident investigation and root cause analysis.
The Candidate:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Environmental or Science, Safety, Occupational Health or equivalent, in or related to EHS.
5+ years of experience with EHS compliance programs.
Experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring, emissions testing, and Title V preferred.
Working and practical knowledge of risk management, industrial health and safety rules and regulations to include OSHA/DOT/FMCS/EPA.
Waste or transportation industry experience preferred.
