We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Litigation Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to our busy team of 4-5 Attorneys. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of recent experience in litigation within a law firm, a strong understanding of California court rules, and a "can do" attitude. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our litigation processes by anticipating needs, finding solutions, and contributing actively to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Document Preparation: Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials.
Calendar Management: Maintain and manage attorney calendars, scheduling appointments, and court dates.
Docketing: Apply proficient knowledge of docketing rules for California jurisdictions.
Client Engagements: Open new client/matter engagements and assist with billing/client invoices.
Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support, including handling incoming communications, organizing files, and performing additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent litigation experience within a law firm, with a strong understanding of both State and Federal litigation processes.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Skills:
Proficient in California court system rules.
Experience with E-Filing (File to Serve) is required
Familiarity with document management systems, docketing systems, and billing/time entry programs preferred.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
