Job Description:
The Tax QA Analyst is responsible for testing tax forms in the TaxWise or ATX tax software. This involves verifying previous year's tax return data rolls over to the current year correctly, all corrected defects are functioning as intended, and the forms calculate correctly per the form instructions. This testing is done by recreating the customers' experience in the tax software. Tax QA Analysts will utilize all available tools to achieve this end.
Create and execute pseudo tax returns that can be reused in subsequent testing.
Verify tax forms function as expected for Rollover functionality.
Verify all fixed defects are functioning as intended.
Verify that forms calculate correctly according to the form instructions.
Identify, document and report defects encountered during testing.
Re-test forms to ensure corrections on defects previously reported are as intended.
Ability to manage the testing status of multiple forms throughout the testing process.
Ability to communicate with different members of the development team and work in a team environment.
Required Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
Desire to work in a Quality Assurance role and deliver quality results
Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
Strong math skills
Strong reading comprehension and ability to utilize reference materials
Detail-oriented, with good analytical abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good decision-making skills and the ability to work under deadlines
Good organizational and multitasking skills
