The Situation

We are currently seeking a full stack developer with a focus on front-end development to join our growing team. This individual will be pivotal in shaping our product vision and driving the success of the solutions we deliver. We're looking for someone who can not only inspire through ideas but also execute them with precision. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can translate business and technical requirements into solutions that exceed client expectations.

The Position

We are searching for a candidate with 4+ years of experience, ideally with a background in consulting. The role requires a desire to work on-site or in a hybrid capacity, as we believe that in-person collaboration facilitates creativity and personal growth. You will be a key contributor, not only in delivering client solutions but also in the growth of our agency.

Responsibilities include designing technical architectures, developing, and implementing web applications and websites for a diverse portfolio of clients. Strong full-stack development skills are essential, including proficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React, TypeScript, and MySQL. Knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Drupal is a plus.

This role requires a passion for open-source software, collaborative teamwork, and a positive, solutions-focused mindset. Candidates must be self-sufficient, capable of working independently while effectively using project management tools to keep tasks on track and deliverables on schedule.

The Nitty Gritty

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across disciplines, including project managers, developers, and designers, ensuring clear communication and smooth workflow.
  • Integrate applications and websites with databases.
  • Develop and implement APIs.
  • Implement and integrate open-source frameworks and content management systems.
  • Incorporate AI tools, including ChatGPT, into web applications.
  • Optimize the performance and efficiency of web applications and websites.
  • Automate testing workflows, conducting tests to ensure functionality and to evaluate the user experience.
  • Create clean, well-documented front-end code compatible with various server-side publishing technologies and content management frameworks.
  • Manage Linux server infrastructure to facilitate deployment on development, staging, and production environments
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, new programming languages, and frameworks

Qualifications:

  • A curious mind and a deep interest in exploring projects across various industries, with a desire to understand industry-specific challenges.
  • Proven ability to both conceptualize a vision and execute it effectively.
  • At least 4+ years of experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • 4+ years of experience building dynamic web applications.
  • Proficient in front-end frameworks such as Angular and React.
  • Familiar with database integration.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Solid knowledge of responsive web design principles.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Technical understanding of the relationship between web servers and browsers.
  • Comfortable working with project management tools like Jira.
  • Able to meet deadlines and value the importance of achieving project milestones.
  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively.
  • Team-oriented mindset, open to providing and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Understanding of visual design principles, prototyping, and iterative testing with tools like Figma or Axure is a plus.
