We are seeking a full-time Senior Associate in the Data Analytics division for our Buckhead, Atlanta Office.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand data-driven problems in the context of litigation support, restructuring, due diligence, and other business areas.
Work closely with B. Riley's testifying experts to develop strategies for successful outcomes for our clients.
Utilize various data sources (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, transform, and organize information.
Take complex topics/analyses and synthesize them into digestible information to be understood by people with little to no analytics knowledge.
Manage B. Riley's internal databases of confidential client information.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering)
Prefer 1-3 years of experience in a quantitative field.
Strong programming skills in at least Python and SQL.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with an abiding curiosity.
Ability to visualize, transform and analyze data to reveal undetected patterns and insights along with a firm grasp of general programming and data analytics paradigms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of Finance or Accounting preferred.
Knowledge of additional languages (i.e., R, SAS, STATA, etc.) is a plus
The ability to process and manage large datasets of potentially sensitive information.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
