Client is a Wisconsin-based renewable energy company providing turnkey anaerobic digestion and gas upgrading facilities. Client is looking for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for developing, designing, and permitting gas upgrading projects.
Essential Job Functions: • Develop project specifications, conceptual design, PFD's, calculations, P&ID's, and operation manuals to comply with clients' requirement • Optimize equipment and facility performance • Prepare design outputs, datasheets, and drawings • Lead the permitting process • Establish vendor relationships, develop technical specs, and obtain vendor quotes • Submit purchasing requests with equipment specs in ERP system • Coordinate with Project Team and other department engineers to facilitate smooth progress of engineering work • Review the final plant/process design • Consult and assist the Project Manager with design modifications during construction • Support the Construction Team during construction phase and carry out site checks • Support the Commissioning Team during plant startup • Conduct tests and monitor the process performance • Troubleshoot and resolve problems • Evaluate processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards • Assemble reports and document processes • Support the operation engineering team • Participate in and lead cross-functional teams • Research new processes/technologies/equipment to improve processes • Assist Business Development in the development of projects, schedules, and budgets • Perform other duties and special projects as may be required
Competencies & Qualifications: • Bachelor's or master's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field, including engineering experience in the refining, petrochemicals, or gas processing industries • Strong technical abilities and analytical skills • Driven attitude and desire to learn • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems • Strong leadership qualities and reasoning abilities • Strong organizational skills, documentation skills, and attention to detail • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to work independently in a dynamic environment • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage time in a fast-paced, changing environment • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing computer software including engineering analysis, word processing and database management programs • Comprehensive understanding of principles of engineering • Willingness and desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on several tasks/projects • Excellent knowledge of renewable energy concepts and technologies • Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations • EIT or PE is a plus • Valid US driver's license required • Willingness to travel and valid passport required • Must be authorized to work for any company in the United States.
