Job Description:

  • Maintains quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Maintains quality assurance staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Completes quality assurance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Maintains and supports QMS per ISO 9001:2015 standards and requirements.
  • Participates and assists in planning, specification writing, plan review, or inspection activities necessary for the completion of projects.
  • Supports the audit process with customers and or ISO Auditors.
  • Supports the contract review process.
  • Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with engineering, technicians, production personnel and management. APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans and PPAP.
  • Assures quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards, testing materials and product. Establishing sampling / First Article, in-process, and final inspection criteria.
  • Establishes raw material standards by studying engineering / manufacturing requirements; conferring and negotiating with suppliers; devising testing methods and procedures.
  • Participates in evaluation, planning, integration, testing, and completion activities in Quality projects. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Gathers and correlates data and distributes to engineering, manufacturing, and management for review.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Establishes in-process product inspection standards by studying manufacturing methods; devising testing methods and procedures to maintain Quality Assurance Standards.
  • Establishes standards for the disposition of finished product by devising evaluation tests, methods, and procedures. This will include rework standards by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures.
  • Establishes product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and government requirements, collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing metrics, and summarizing information and trends including ECN notifications and review with the engineering staff.
  • Communicates directly with prospective or existing customers in providing quality documents and supports matters that are related to quality assurance and quality control matters. Must support the sales organization where needed from a quality / technical perspective.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 4-5 years industry-related experience, spring manufacturing or metal fabrication preferred.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a 4-year college or technical school / trade school, technical degree in an engineering or science discipline. Including 3 - 5 years or more on the job experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
