Today's Energy Code Standard mandates all new residential building construction, remodels, additions and alterations meet minimum energy efficiency compliance. HERS Raters ensure quality assurance for builders and/or homeowners by inspecting and testing to evaluate each of the minimum rated features. As our HERS Energy Rater, you will run tests that include one or more of the following: Duct Leakage Test, Indoor Air Quality Test, Quality Insulation, Installation Verification, Minimum Airflow, Refrigerant Charge, Low Leakage Air Handler, EER, etc.
You will also perform field verification visits for various Green Building Rating systems such as LEED, GreenPoint Rated, NGBS, Energy Star and others. With training you will be performing building commissioning, lighting control and HVAC acceptance testing per Title 24 Energy Code.
