Responsibilities:
Manage concurrent projects and tasks effectively and efficiently while problem-solving issues that arise during production
Act as the Mechanical Engineering lead, collaborating with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely project success
Design and detail automation systems, including machined and formed components, parts conveyance, part fixturing, vision systems, and articulating robot arms
Perform robot reach and interference studies, design pneumatics panels, and work directly with customers on design, function, and cost
Design, build, and detail Bills of Materials (BOMs) while maintaining budgetary parameters without sacrificing creativity and customization
Release drawings promptly to support the Materials and Production Teams
Contribute to the success of the Mechanical Engineering Team by fostering a collaborative environment.
Education and Experience:
5+ years of automation design or capital equipment design experience
Proficiency in 3D solid modeling with 10+ years of experience in part modeling, assemblies, drafting, and detailing
Experience working on or with robotic systems preferred
Previous experience in AutoCAD 2D/3D and SolidWorks Enterprise PDM preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics preferred
Proven ability to design, build, and detail custom automation or machinery worth $1,000,000+
