DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience with double side and continuous polishing highly desirable
Polish spherical optics to tight specifications, using spindle pitch polishing machines
Must be able to block parts and make polishing laps
Experience polishing a variety of materials, including fused silica as well as precision glasses
Comfortable with using interferometer as well as test plates to measure parts
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent education or experience as deemed by ARO Management
3+ years of optical polishing experience
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and instructions
Methodical, detail-oriented, and organized
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Production-minded
Strong work ethic
Positive attitude
