Who We're Looking For
Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled PLC Assembly Technician with a passion for production engineering. As a key player in our Final Assembly Engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of implementing and trialing new or modified equipment for North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMCs), helping to transform how the industry operates.

What You'll Be Doing
PLC/SPLC programming: Work with top-tier systems like Toyopuc, AB, Omron, and Siemens
Program and troubleshoot Fanuc and Kawasaki robots both offline and online
Ensure that new assembly equipment meets stringent quality standards and performs flawlessly
Prepare, test, and confirm the functionality of new assembly equipment at vendors and NAMCs
Collaborate on Assembly activities across North America from design to installation and production start-up
Proactively develop and implement equipment solutions during setup, trials, and the start of production
Travel across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and internationally (including Japan) to provide hands-on support
Be flexible to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and off-shift hours to meet production goals
What You Bring
Associate's Degree in a technical field or 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
Strong experience with PLC programming (Toyopuc, AB, Omron, Siemens)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings
Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international assignments
Flexibility to work up to 20% overtime
Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
Bonus Points If You Bring
A degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field
Automotive Assembly experience
Expertise in setting up and programming safety scanners
Knowledge of vision systems setup and integration
Familiarity with industrial control networking (Ethernet IP, TCP/IP, FLnet, ProfiNet)
Understanding of Assembly AVI processes
Experience in mentoring or technical training
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
