You'll be working on groundbreaking technology that leverages sustainable, earth-abundant materials to provide long-duration energy storage, crucial for a reliable renewable energy future. This position offers the chance to work on projects that directly contribute to global decarbonization efforts, ensuring power reliability even when the sun isn't shining or the wind isn't blowing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the subject matter expert on power controls hardware, overseeing the design, modeling, and testing of low to medium voltage systems.
  • Lead the development of new inverter and converter solutions through research, design, and evaluation.
  • Develop test plans and build prototypes to evaluate the performance of power electronics in energy storage systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure the seamless integration of technology.
  • Prepare electrical schematics using AutoCAD and ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE, and other relevant standards.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in power electronics.
  • Proficiency in power conversion techniques, AC/DC systems, and PCB design for voltages up to 1kV.
  • Strong experience in designing, testing, and implementing power electronics hardware, particularly in energy storage or renewable energy systems.
  • Solid understanding of control strategies, conversion topologies, and UPS battery management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have:
  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with GaN and/or SiC technologies, and expertise in AC/DC Microgrid energy storage.
  • Familiarity with battery or fuel cell technologies, and knowledge of UL 1741SA and IEEE 1547 grid codes.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package including health insurance, 401K, and PTO.
  • Opportunities to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment with a focus on sustainability.
  • Support for professional growth and development.

If you're ready to be part of a team that's pushing the boundaries of clean energy technology, this is the role for you.
