We are a leading provider in wellbore placement and drilling solutions and looking for a Senior Sustaining Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Houston.
Position Overview The Senior Sustaining Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the continued success and reliability of our company's downhole drilling products. This individual will be responsible for utilizing their strong Mechanical/electrical engineering skills and expertise in downhole tools to identify and implement improvements to our existing products. The ideal candidate will have experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis and RSS.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize mechanical/electrical engineering skills to evaluate and improve existing RSS product
Conduct Root Cause Failure Mode Analysis to identify and troubleshoot issues with current products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design and process improvements
Develop and maintain technical documentation and product specifications
Stay current with industry advancements and trends in downhole drilling technology
Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field
4+ years of experience in mechanical/electrical engineering, preferably in the downhole drilling industry
Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis and other problem-solving techniques
Knowledge of downhole tools/RSS system
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
