Position Summary:
The role of the Maintenance Lead (BET) is to directly oversee the performance and activities of the Maintenance Team for the routine and non-routine maintenance activities of their designated area of the facility. Responsibilities of the Supervisor include scheduling maintenance work, ensuring the quality of the maintenance work in their designated area and the necessary standards of housekeeping and safe work practice. The Maintenance Lead (BET) also scopes, kits and assigns work to any of the maintenance team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Physically able to repeatedly lift a 40-pound cases of product
What you will do:
Ensure compliance with safety and food safety guidelines
Safety and first line supervision of Maintenance Team
Assignment of Technicians to Daily Work Schedule
Reallocating Technicians when appropriate
Time Card Management
Assigning and managing emergency and urgent work for their area or responsibility
Assist the planner in the planning function
Coordinating and scheduling all planned maintenance activities carried out in their shop
Ensure the quality of the maintenance work in their area, and the necessary standards of housekeeping and safe work practices are maintained
Matching work priorities to available resources on a daily basis
Review technician completed work to ensure it was correctly done
Review technician completed work order logs for accuracy and completeness including comments, hours worked, and closing codes
Expedite the scheduling of safety related work
Scope the WO to order parts
Kit parts for WO
Quote and ensure ordering of the parts through Buyer
Schedule to 100% utilization of resource availability
Load balance work schedules
Coordinate work to the operational availability of production assets
Review and update of long range project event calendars
Compile schedule compliance data
This position must be able to support facilities duties and assign resources towards the execution of the coming W.O. at facilities
Perform mid year and end of year evaluations of their Maintenance Team
Development of the maintenance team working with Equipment Specialist
Make sure CMMS is being fully used
For 1st shift Maintenance Lead BET. For 2nd shift Maintenance Lead BET, 3rd shift mechanics will report into the role.
Desired Qualifications:
+5 years previous maintenance experience (with a bottling or packaging line)
Effective at communication and interaction with production personnel
Strong mechanical aptitude
Problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical areas
Thorough comprehension of reading, writing and speaking English, Spanish is a plus
Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed
Flexible with variations in line and shift assignments
Mathematical abilities, including: the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals), and
the ability to calculate raw material consumption rates, production rates, averages, and production efficiencies
Basic computer operations and Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Sheets, Docs, Gmail)
Experience with ERP & CMMS softwares
Proficiency with a computer application used to track operational efficiency
Physical Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
